T&T's accommodation facilities are fully equipped for self-catering, with oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, hair-dryer, bedding & bed-linen, towels (please bring your own beachtowels) as well as a small TV with OVHD channels (you might want to bring your own decoder and smart card).
 

  the COTTAGE (sleeps 6) 

This free-standing cottage has an open-plan kitchen/lounge/dining area (approx. 6 x 7 m) with a bathroom leading off it (toilet, shower, hand-basin). There are two small bedrooms (connected with a lockable door).
Bedroom1 has a Queen-size bed and a private ensuite bathroom (toilet/shower/hand-basin). 
Bedroom2 has two adjoining single beds or one king-size (by prior arrangement).

There is a sturdy custom-made, handcrafted bunkbed in the open-plan lounge.

 PARKING 

There is shade-net parking for one vehicle at the security entrance door … and offstreet parking in the garden if required. There is no sea-view from the Cottage, but the ocean is a mere 200 meters away ... a comfortable stroll along our quite dead-end gravel road, the only traffic being that of fishermen, residents and visitors.

 OUTDOORS 

There is a small garden at the back of the house with concrete braai (barbeque) facility and adjoining counter-top and also a concrete bench facing a round fire-pit. From here there is a view of the ocean.

 

 SUNDRIES 
Between the family residence and the outbuildings (rental apartments) there is an enclosed courtyard with a washing line, an outdoor shower (cold water only) and a large concrete wash basin.

Our peaceful spot by the ocean is very privileged ... far removed from stressful city life.
Amenities such as food markets, restaurants, café, post office, library, banks, pharmacy, medical staff, hardware, hair salons, craft shops, etc are close by.

 

In addition to our small secluded rocky beachfront there are a few more beaches along Port Edward's coastline such as "Granny's Beach" (with a natural tidal pool) 2km South of us, and Port Edward's main beach "Silver Beach" about 3km North of T&T ... safe for swimming, boating and playing in the waves.
Silver Beach is lucky to have the “National Sea Rescue Institute Station 32” on location.

 T&T am Meer 

Wir bieten 2 kleine Gästehäuschen auf unserem privaten Grundstück 200 Meter vom Wasser, am abgelegenen „Spiros Rocks“ Strand beim „Doc Wilson Point“. Port Edward liegt am Indischen Ozean, an der subtropischen Küste von KwaZulu Natal, Südafrika, direkt an der Grenze zur „Eastern Cape“ Provinz und der „Transkei Wild Coast“,

zwei Autofahrtstunden südlich von Durban. Die Spiros Felsen sind ein beliebtes Reiseziel zum Angeln und der kleine, geschützte Strand bietet allen Altersgruppen Gelegenheit zu naturnaher Entspannung.

 T&T-COTTAGE bietet Aufenthaltsraum für 6 Gäste 

Dieses freistehende Ferienhäuschen verfügt über einen offenen Küche-Wohn-und-Essbereich (ca. 6 x 7 Meter groß) mit Bad (WC, Dusche, Waschbecken). Es hat zwei separate kleine Schlafzimmer (verbunden mit einer abschließbaren Tür). Zimmer 1 verfügt über ein queensize (Französisches) Bett und privatem kleinen ensuite Badezimmer (WC/Dusche/Waschbecken). Zimmer 2 hat zwei nebeneinanderstehende Einzelbetten

oder ein kingsize Bett (das muß jedoch rechtzeitig vorher beantragt werden).
Dazu gibt es noch ein stabiles handwerk-gefertigtes Etagenbett für 2 Personen im Wohnzimmer.

 ZUSAETZLICHE INFO 

Beide T&T Unterkünfte sind komplett zur Selbstversorgung ausgestattet mit Kochherd, Backofen, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, Kessel, Toaster, Föhn, Bettzeug und Bettwäsche, Badetücher, Ventilator, Moskitonetzen sowie einem an der Wand befestigten Fernseher mit „OpenView HD-Kanälen“. Lokale Gäste können ihren eigenen Decoder mit Smartcard anschließen.

 PARKIEREN 

Es gibt beschatteten Parkplatz für 1 Fahrzeug direkt an der abgesicherten Wohnzimmer Eingangstür. Zusätzlicher Parkplatz im Garten ist auch vorhanden. Direkt von den Wohnungen aus ist das Meer nicht sichtbar, aber es ist mit einem bequemen 200 meter Spaziergang  nur 5 Minuten entfernt.

 IM FREIEN 
In einem kleinen Garten hinterm Haus gibt es einen Gäste-Aufenthaltsbereich mit Grill und nebenstehender Beton Theke sowie einer Sitzbank an einer offenen Feuerstelle. Von dort aus kann man das Meer sehen.

 ALLGEMEINES 

T&T Familienmitglieder wohnen im Haupthaus, getrennt von den Gast-Wohnungen durch einen Innenhof. 
Wir stehen jederzeit zur Verfügung, werden unseren Gäste aber stets ihren Privatraum gewaehrleisten. 
Der Innenhof enthält eine Wäscheleine, ein großes Spülbecken und eine kaltwasser Dusche.

Follow the R61 through Port Edward's only traffic light at the entrance to town.

Carry on a little further, slightly uphill, until you see “Banners Rest” turning off to your right.

Turn LEFT at that same intersection.

After turning, you will see the Premier Hotel Edwardian on your right.

You are now in Ramsey Avenue.

Drive past Selbourne Road turning off to your right.

Take the 2nd RIGHT into Edgeware Road.

When Edgeware makes a sharp left turn and changes to 15th Avenue, keep LEFT.

(4th Ave dirt road forks off to your right).

When you come to what looks like a T-junction and a small brickwall, turn right.

You are now in 8th Avenue (which becomes Ventnor Road if you had turned left).

Almost immediately there is a fork in the road. Keep left on 8th Street.

(7th St carries on to the right and further along to the Nature Reserve at Granny's Pool Beach).

To get to T&T, cross 14th Avenue (after just one block).
T&T is on your left in the next block, corner 8th, before 9th Street turns left down to Spiros Beach.

 2. coming from the South (Eastern Cape: 

Driving South along the R61 towards the Umtamvuna River which is the border between the Eastern Cape and Kwazulu Natal:
Approx 700 meters after the second entrance to the Wild Coast Sun (on your right) you will cross the Umtamvuna Bridge into Kwazulu Natal.
After 5.5 km (on a downward slope towards Port Edward) you will see the sign “Banners Rest” turning off to your left. Turn RIGHT at this intersection. 
(Should you arrive at the town's only robot at the bottom of the hill, you have gone too far).
After turning right, you will see the Premier Hotel Edwardian on your right corner.
You are now in Ramsey Avenue.
